Donor Refund Requests
If you've made a donation and would like to request a refund, please review the following:
When You Can Request a Refund:
Within 30 Days: You may request a refund within 30 days of making your donation by contacting our support team.
Fraudulent Campaigns: If you believe you've donated to a fraudulent or misrepresented campaign, please report it immediately. We take these matters seriously and will investigate promptly.
Duplicate Donations: If you accidentally made a duplicate donation, contact us within 30 days for assistance.
Unauthorized Transactions: If you notice an unauthorized donation on your account, please contact us and your financial institution immediately.
How to Request a Refund:

- Your name and email address used for the donation
- The campaign name and organizer
- The donation amount and date
- Transaction ID or receipt number
- Reason for the refund request
Campaign Organizer Responsibilities
Campaign organizers have the ability to issue refunds directly to donors through their campaign dashboard. Organizers should:
Use Funds Appropriately: Ensure all funds are used for the stated campaign purpose.
Provide Updates: Keep donors informed about how their contributions are being used.
Process Legitimate Refund Requests: Respond to and process valid refund requests in a timely manner.
Handle Disputes Professionally: Work directly with donors to resolve any concerns or disputes.
Platform and Payment Processing Fees
When a refund is issued:
Platform Fees: Our platform fees will be refunded if the refund is processed within 30 days of the original donation.
Payment Processing Fees: Payment processing fees charged by third-party payment processors are generally non-refundable as these are fees charged by the payment processor, not our platform.
Transaction Fees: In cases of fraud or platform error, all fees may be refunded at our discretion.
When Refunds May Not Be Available
Please note that refunds may not be available in the following situations:
Funds Already Withdrawn: If the campaign organizer has already withdrawn the funds and used them for the stated purpose.
Beyond 30-Day Window: Requests made more than 30 days after the donation date (except in cases of fraud).
Change of Mind: While we understand circumstances change, we encourage donors to carefully review campaigns before donating, as organizers may have already allocated funds based on received donations.
Direct Donations Between Parties
Our platform facilitates donations between donors and campaign organizers. In most cases, refunds are issued by the campaign organizer directly. Our platform acts as an intermediary and will assist in facilitating refund requests, but the ultimate responsibility for issuing refunds lies with the campaign organizer unless:
The campaign is found to be fraudulent
There is a violation of our Terms of Service
A technical error occurred on our platform
Dispute Resolution
If you have a dispute with a campaign organizer regarding a refund:
Step 1: Contact the campaign organizer directly through the platform messaging system.
Step 2: If unresolved, contact our support team who will mediate the dispute.
Step 3: We may investigate the campaign and take appropriate action, including suspending the campaign or organizer account if violations are found.
Fraud and Misrepresentation
We take fraud seriously and have a dedicated team to investigate reports of fraudulent campaigns. If a campaign is found to be fraudulent or misrepresented:
The campaign will be immediately suspended
All donors will be notified
Refunds will be processed to all affected donors
The organizer's account will be permanently banned
We will cooperate with law enforcement if necessary
Refund Processing Time
Once a refund is approved:
Processing Time: Refunds are typically processed within 5-10 business days.
Bank Processing: It may take an additional 5-10 business days for the refund to appear in your account, depending on your financial institution.
Notification: You will receive an email confirmation once the refund has been processed.
